How To Accept a University Connection Request
If a university invites your organization to connect on Quinncia and you already have an employer account, you'll receive an email invitation and will need to accept it directly on the platform.
Step 1: Check your email
When a university invites your organization to connect, you'll receive an email titled "[University Name] invited you to connect on Quinncia!"
This email will let you know that accepting the invitation will allow you to engage with that university's students through Micro-Info Sessions.
Step 2: Click "Review Invitation"
In the email, click the Review Invitation button. This will take you to Quinncia.
- If you're not already logged in, you'll be prompted to log in to your existing employer account first.
Step 3: Accept the invitation from your notifications
Clicking "Review Invitation" doesn't automatically connect your account, you'll still need to accept the invitation from within Quinncia:
- Once logged in, click the notification bell icon in the top right corner of your dashboard.
- You'll see a notification from the inviting university (e.g., "University of Alberta invited you to connect").
- Click View details if you'd like to review more information first, or go straight to accepting.
- Click ACCEPT to confirm the connection, or DECLINE if you don't wish to connect.

Once accepted, the university will be connected to your employer account, and you'll be able to engage with their students through Micro-Info Sessions.
Good to know
- Invitations will stay in your notifications until you accept or decline them, so you don't have to act on them the moment the email arrives.
- You can click Mark all as read to clear notification badges, but this won't accept or decline any pending invitations, you'll still need to take action on those directly.
